Google Finance has launched. One very interesting feature in the view for a particular company’s stock is the listing of related blog posts. Check out the page for Dell Computer for an example.
This view provides a more complete dashboard than other finance sites because you not only see the facts, but you get a chance to view what regular folks are saying. This is also an obvious move by Google to highlight their blog search feature as that is the engine that is providing the results.
The idea comes to mind that if you’re in a small company who is competing with a public company, it might be worthwhile to mention your competition in your blog posts every once an a while. When folks check out Google Finance they just might come across your post and find out more about your business. Of course, the blog posts about your competitor should be fair and relevant to the conversation.
