AIM Pages

Steve Rubel informs us that AIM Pages has launched their Beta. Is there a difference between a launch and a Beta these days? That’s a discussion for another post.
I’ve heard people say that this is AOL’s attempt to “kill” MySpace. Fat chance on that. MySpace is a Social Media juggernaught and they have too much of a lead to be hurt by this offering.
This is a milestone development for businesss and social media though. AOL’s attempt to build a Social Media network from the ground up is recognition that social technologies are not only important, but definitely here to stay.
