Forgot About Podcast.com »

In my recent post about podcast industry activity in the summer of 2006 I left out a new player in the game that has been ramping up over the last few months. Podcast.com has a very high profile domain name and they’re working on a very slick podcasting directory/community site.

Hate To Say It But »

I told you so.
Recently I stated in my post titled The New Rules of Podcasting - Part I, “You watch as advertisers make an end around and start producing their own podcasts instead of taking their chances on a rag tag bunch of indie media producers who night just screw up their message.”

The New Rules of Podcasting »

My very opinionated thoughts on the current state of Podcasting can be found on one of my other blogs over at Podcast NYC. I developed my thoughts over a couple of weeks and spread the new rules out over six posts.
The rules will be old soon so get ‘em while they’re hot!
Part I, II, III, [...]

The New Rules Of Podcasting - Part VI »

The New Rules Of Podcasting.

Networks are a losing business model.
Signing away the exclusive rights to your podcast is a stupid thing to do.
Speaking at conferences does not qualify as an accomplishment.
Statistics and demographics are meaningless and useless.
Ninety percent of podcasting news is worthless.
What you knew last summer has almost certainly changed today.
iTunes is [...]
