Google Spreadsheets Enhancements

The Google Blog is reporting on some new features for Google Spreadsheets. The new features are nice, including support for the Open Document Format that is used by Star Office and Open Office plus PDF support. I’ve been using Star Office with Google Spreadsheets over the last couple of weeks and have been converting to Excel format in order to get my Star Office spreadsheets up to Google. Looks like I’ll no longer have to make that conversion.
Don’t be fooled by the fact that this service is called Google Spreadsheets. This offering is very close to many of the Wiki offerings out there and can be a great tool for collaborating on projects that require spreadsheet functionality. Any project that requires a budget, a project plan or contact list is a candidate for collaboration using Google Spreadsheets.
