bbPress Released

The same folks who brought you WordPress have now officially released an Open Source forum application called bbPress.
This software has been around for quite a while and is used for the WordPress Support forums. I tried it out earlier this year and decided that it wasn’t ready for primetime. I’m going to have to give it a second look now that it has been overhauled.
Some of the nifty features include RSS support, Akismet spam protection and WordPress integration.
I always think it’s a good idea to use forum software to extend conversations on blogs or podcasts so you might want to give bbPress a spin, especially if WordPress is your publishing tool of choice.
