There’s a lot of talk about a new service called SpringWidgets that allows people to create and use widgets for the desktop and the web.
Widgets are mini-applications that can sometimes be shared on other websites, blogs, social networks, etc. SpringWidgets (like the previously mentioned Grazr) offers an RSS feed aggregator widget that also supports the playing of audio podcasts. So bloggers and audio podcasters alike can go over to http://www.springwidgets.com/widgetize/, enter their RSS feed and then share the resulting code with friends to get their content syndicated.
The widget below displays the new Council of Public Relations Firms podcast that I’m producing. Click on the little headphones and the player for the audio should appear.
These types of tools are a good way to spread your message in an economical fashion. If you want to distribute an audio podcast you also have the option of using the Big Contact Feed Player which I’ve embedded below for your listening pleasure.
