Active Collab 0.7 Released

A few months ago I was introduced to a new, Open Source project management tool called activeCollab. The developer is a young man from Serbia who aimed to take the features provided by the commercial BaseCamp software and make them available for free.
So far so good. Release 0.7 takes this product even closer to BaseCamp at the cost of the technical knowledge to get the system up and running. DreamHost currently has activeCollab on there “one click install” list so if you’re a dreamhoster then even less tech knowledge is required to get it going.
Basecamp still outdoes activeCollab with features like writeboard and real time chat, but is still a good choice for those who are cost conscious and want to run the system on their own domain. Even better, the recent upgrade supports RSS feeds so team members can subscribe to threads on project tasks.
