Online video is hot and getting hotter. And while the tipping point hasn’t occurred yet (sorry, the good ole TV is more comfortable for viewing shows) products like Apple TV are bridging the gap between internet and cable or satellite based media delivery.
The folks who brought you the Democracy Player have created a new site designed to help would be online video producers the info they need to know to make it happen. According to their site, “This guide has step-by-step instructions for shooting, editing, and publishing online videos that can be watched and subscribed to by millions of people.”
They’ve put together a nice looking site that includes a wiki to allow for public participation in the learning process.
We need more sites like this that are dedicated to educating the masses on how to create their own media. The finished products might not be stellar, but each new generation seems to come up with things that help the social media revolution to move along.
