Drupal 6 Overview

Speaking of Drupal. I’ve just added a screencast overview of the new features in Drupal 6 to the Awakened Voice Learning Center. Drupal 6 has some nifty new features including OpenID support, an improved menu system, a streamlined install process and some groundbreaking localization features. There’s a lot more that’s new too.
One new feature set that I really like is the combination of actions and triggers. A real basic example of an action, trigger combo would be the sending of an email to a given address when a new post is saved. The send of the email is the action and the saving of the new post is the trigger. I show how to set this up in the screencast and go over the different types of actions you can configure.
A preview of the screencast is embedded below. To see a larger size flash version or download a hi resolution version of the video you can go to the Drupal 6 Overview in the learning center.
