I had never met Ted but I was familiar with his first book, Blogging For Business which was co-authored by Shel Holtz. I’ve met Shel and follow his exploits as a social communicator.

Ted wanted my point of view on the worlds of blogging and podcasting, which he was compiling for the book that would be titled What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting: Real-Life Advice from 101 People Who Successfully Leverage the Power of the Blogosphere. I’m one of those 101 people in the book. I have to say that I was honored to be included since I’m relatively new to the podcasting and blogging arenas.

I haven’t had a chance to read the book yet, but I did connect with Ted last night via Skype to discuss both of his books. It was a good conversation that lasted the good part of 45 minutes. I plan to release the audio on my A Billion Voices podcast sometime next week.

Til then, why not head over to Amazon and pick up the book as a gift for someone who loves blogging and/or podcasting.

Adam Varga of the excellent audio podcast Dailysonic has created a very nice resource for those interested in figuring out the many different tools and services related to podcasting.

Adam is calling this resource Okay To Play. According to the Okay To Play website, “OKAY TO PLAY’s goal is to help podcasters make educated decisions for their podcasts. We hope our comparison charts make navigating the podcaster’s sea of choice a little bit easier.”

For now, users can see comparison charts on the following categories: Podcast Flash Players, Portable Audio Recorders, Podcast Advertising Companies, Music Providers/Licensors.

I think this is a great resource and a very welcome one at a time when potential podcast producers have so many tools and services to choose from. I would like to see Adam add categories for Audio/Video editing tools, RSS Management and Blog/CMS tools as well.

This is a great start though and highly recommended for any current or potential podcast producer.
